Dr. Graven addresses the emotional, social, and behavioral needs of children ages 6
and above. Most people make the mistake believing children are simply small adults; however, children
can think and react to stress
much differently than adults. Since children grow and change so quickly, various therapeutic techniques are used by Dr. Graven to connect to children and help them learn to regulate their behavior and express their
feelings and emotions in a healthy manner.
Dr. Graven also works closely with parents
and guardians to help apply what was learned
in therapy within the home environment.
Dr. Graven also provides psychological, psychoeducational, and neuropsychological assessment for children. These services will aid in clarifying symptoms and help develop a treatment plan. They also provide parents and guardians suggestions on what they can do to help their child at home and discover what is needed to maximize a child’s academic abilities.
